Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stalker arrested during Germany Eras tour

An American was arrested on Wednesday evening outside Taylor Swift’s Eras tour show in Gelsenkirchen after allegedly threatening her and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The 34-year-old stalker, whose identity was not revealed, had a ticket for the concert at the Veltins Arena, according to the Associated Press, but was stopped at an entrance checkpoint.

He allegedly made threats against the world-famous couple on social media and warned the organizers of the event, the authorities.

He was reportedly arrested after “an initial investigation could not completely rule out a danger.”

The man was reportedly ordered to remain behind bars until Saturday, after Swift finishes her three consecutive shows in the city.

Swift, 34, is currently touring Europe as part of her record-breaking tour and will next stop in Hamburg for two nights before moving on to Munich for three shows.

The 34-year-old tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs supported the “Karma” singer at her first two performances in Germany and lovingly put his arm around her shoulder as they left the stage on Thursday evening.

Kelce has been following his Grammy-winning girlfriend around the globe since his team won the Super Bowl in February. In addition to the two nights in Germany, he attended performances in Buenos Aires, Sydney, Singapore, Paris, London, Dublin and Amsterdam.

However, he will likely take a break from his world travels as the Chiefs’ training camp has begun at Missouri Western State University.

Swift’s tour runs through December 8, but she will reportedly try to attend every NFL game her schedule allows.

Last year, she attended 13 Kansas City Chiefs games—her lucky number—including the Super Bowl, where she watched her lover win his third championship ring.

After four concerts in Japan, she made an impressive flight to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, using the 17-hour time difference to her advantage to land back in the USA a full day before the big game.

After Swift and Kelce went public with their relationship last fall, the singer said she would loudly and proudly support her boyfriend, even though she had previously kept her love life rather quiet.

“When you say a relationship is public, it means I’m going to watch him do what he loves. We’re there for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care,” she explained in her Time Magazine 2023 Person of the Year profile.

“The opposite of that is that you have to go to extreme lengths to make sure that no one knows that you’re meeting someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
