One dead after shooting in Augusta

AUGUSTA (WJBF) – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office responded to Wellstar MCG regarding a firearm death.

According to the coroner’s office, the victim was shot at least once and was found in the parking lot in the 2400 block of Acapulco Drive.

The victim was taken to Wellstar MCG by ambulance and pronounced dead at 1:23am on Saturday morning.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
