Suspect arrested and charged with murder in three Ahwatukee deaths

INDEPENDENT NEWS MEDIA

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the deaths of three people whose bodies were found after a fire at an apartment complex in Ahwatukee.

Chase Christman is charged with triple murder in the deaths of 27-year-old Merissa Honeycutt, 25-year-old Anthony Frederickson-Ceccarelli and 37-year-old Samuel Lott, Phoenix police said Friday night.

The murders occurred in the early morning hours of July 14 in an apartment complex in 13229 p. 48th St., police said. The fire was set a day later.

Christman was arrested and questioned on July 19.

“He admitted to being in the apartment but did not admit to committing the murders,” police said in a press release.

“Christman was linked to the murder through digital and physical evidence recovered at the original crime scene and is an accomplice to all three victims.”

He was charged with triple murder and weapons-related misconduct.

The investigation is ongoing, but investigators believe Christman is the only suspect involved in the murders.
