Person in Richmond allegedly shot multiple times, police investigate

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Richmond police are investigating after a person was reportedly shot multiple times Friday night.

Shortly before midnight on Friday, July 19, Richmond Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of East Main Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

According to officials, two suspects fled the scene “in an unknown direction.”

The Richmond Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
