Family of four from Kerala killed in fire accident in Kuwait

Four members of a family from Pathanamthitta district of Kerala died in a fire at their house in Kuwait. The incident took place on the night of July 19 in Abbassia in Kuwait.

The victims were identified as Mathew Muzhakkal, his wife Lini Abraham and their children Isaac and Erin.

The family left for Kuwait after their vacation on the night of July 18.

“Mathew has been working there for the last 15 years. His wife is a nurse. The children study there. They left Nedumbassery on Thursday evening after their vacation,” a relative told the media on July 20.

The family of the victims in Pathanamthitta has not yet received any official confirmation about the arrival of the bodies in their hometown.

Mathew leaves behind his mother and three siblings.

According to initial findings, the fire was caused by a short circuit in the air conditioning system in the room.
