Topeka Police Investigate 11th Murder of 2024

TOPEKA (KSNT) – One person is dead after a shooting Saturday night in Topeka, marking the eleventh homicide investigation conducted by Topeka Police this year.

On Saturday, July 20, around 12:00 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of SW Topeka Blvd.


Upon arrival, officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. This person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is currently still ongoing.
