Man injured in motorcycle accident in Greenville

GREENVILLE, KY – A person was flown to Skyline in Nashville after being thrown from a motorcycle in an accident.

According to Greenville Police, a collision between a 2003 Honda motorcycle and a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado occurred at the intersection of KY 189 Bypass and Luzerne Drive just before 4 p.m. Friday evening. A preliminary investigation revealed that the Silverado, driven by 23-year-old James Cottrell of Greenville, attempted to make a left turn onto Luzerne Drive. According to police, Cottrell then veered into the lane of 60-year-old Mark Foster and struck the motorcycle, causing Foster to be ejected from the motorcycle. Foster was flown to Nashville’s Skyline, while Cottrell and a juvenile passenger were uninjured.
