Richmond woman arrested following child sexual abuse investigation

RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) – A woman was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into child sexual abuse in Madison County.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office was notified in June of possible sexual abuse at a home on Kirksville Road.

After an officer questioned the alleged victim and searched the home, police arrested Sarah Firebaugh, 40, of Richmond, for sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12.

Firebaugh is being held at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
