Mississippi teenager killed and one person injured in Fayette County crash

A new report found that traffic fatalities in New York increased in 2021

FAYETTE COUNTY, Alabama (WIAT) – A teenager was killed and another was injured in a car crash in Fayette County Thursday evening, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.

At around 10:45 p.m., a 2021 Toyota Corolla left the roadway on Alabama State Route 18, struck a culvert and overturned. Ashton Miller, 19, of Fulton, Mississippi, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.


The 17-year-old driver was flown to a nearby hospital for medical treatment with unknown injuries.

The accident occurred near the 22 mile marker, about eight miles northwest of Fayette. No further information is available as ALEA continues to investigate.
