Silver Alert issued for woman last seen in Jamestown, Tennessee

JAMESTOWN, Tenn. (WATE) – A missing Fentress County woman who was the focus of a Silver Alert has been found safe and sound, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

On Friday at around 5:20 p.m., the TBI issued a Silver Alert for Kathleen Southward. Less than an hour later, the TBI announced that Southward was found safe and sound in Fentress County.


Previously, Southward, 75, was last seen in the Eagle Bluff area of ​​Jamestown on Friday, July 19. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said she is 5’6″, 180 pounds, has hazel eyes and gray hair. She was last seen, according to the TBI, wearing black shorts, possibly blue shoes and a top of unknown color.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to call the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office at (931) 752-0911 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
