Man in Indianapolis apparently killed in shooting caused by rage while driving

Police in Indiana are investigating after they say the driver of a pickup truck shot and killed a man in Indianapolis in an alleged incident of driving aggression.

Indianapolis Police Department Officer Amanda Hibschman told USA TODAY that officers responded to a report that a person had been shot at an intersection in the southeast part of the city shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Arriving officers said they found a man lying on the ground in the middle of the street with at least one gunshot wound.

The man’s wife identified the shooting victim as 29-year-old Gavin Dasaur.

“I held him as he bled to death and waited for the ambulance,” the victim’s widow, Viviana ZaMora, told the Indianapolis Star, part of the USA TODAY Network.
