Two people arrested, investigations into deaths on Cleverly Road ongoing

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two suspects are in custody in connection with the investigation into a shooting and death of two men on Thursday.

On July 18, police were called to the scene of a shooting on Cleverly Road just before 4 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds who was taken to a local hospital.


The victim of the shooting is a 20-year-old man who, according to police, has been in stable condition since Friday morning.

At the scene, officers discovered two men, aged 18 and 25, dead in a vehicle that had crashed nearby. Police have not yet been able to confirm whether these two incidents are related or whether the men were shot.

Two people were arrested in connection with this incident. A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of a weapon while impaired.

An 18-year-old man was also arrested on charges of abuse of authority, obstruction of public order, resisting arrest and failure to disclose personal information. Police say he slipped under police tape during the investigation.
