Man dead after police shooting in Gila River Indian Community

PINAL COUNTY, Arizona – The FBI is investigating a police shooting that left a member of the Gila River Indian Community dead.

Marcus Lewis, 28, died after a police-involved shooting was reported in the community on July 14.

The FBI said the circumstances leading to the shooting are still under investigation and the case will eventually be forwarded to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, which will decide on charges.

The FBI has not yet released the following information:
