Meeker County Sheriff’s Office wants to contact a ‘good Samaritan’ for his intervention in a suspicious incident – West Central Tribune

DARWIN – The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to contact a “Good Samaritan” after a suspicious incident was reported near Darwin-Dassel County Park on Friday.

The suspicious incident occurred between 6 and 7 a.m. on Friday, July 19, in the 68800 block of 233rd Street in Darwin.

According to a press release from the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, an 18-year-old woman was jogging when she was approached by a man wearing gray sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt.

The man was described as thin, about 6’1″ tall, with blonde hair and appeared to be in his early 20s.

The man was reportedly driving an older gray truck, but the woman was unable to provide a license plate number.

According to the press release, the woman described the incident as the male suspect confronting her and causing her to run into a wooded area. The suspect then ran after her.

The woman said another man, who was also jogging, came by and chased the suspect away. The second man was described as a man in his 50s with white hair, wearing blue shorts, a blue shirt and glasses.

According to the press release, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to contact the second man as the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is also looking for video footage from any surveillance cameras in the area.
