Russian forces attacked the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv with a rocket on July 19, killing at least three people, including a child, and wounding 14, said Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that explosions occurred in the area after an air raid siren was triggered.

A residential area of the city was attacked, Sienkevych said. According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia attacked a playground and damaged nearby high-rise buildings.

“Russia proves every day with its terror that the pressure on it is not enough. This destruction of life must be stopped,” said Zelensky.

“New solutions are needed to support our defense. Russia must feel the power of the world.”
