18-year-old killed in Thursday morning shooting; 17-year-old arrested – The Virginian-Pilot

An 18-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Norfolk on Thursday morning.

Police responded to a report of a gunshot victim at a residence in the 500 block of Grantham Road, just off West Little Creek Road in Wards Corner, around 3 a.m. Officers on scene found the victim, Branden M. Davis Jr., suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Davis later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Investigators arrested a 17-year-old boy at the scene and charged him with reckless handling of a firearm resulting in injury and possession of a firearm by a minor.
