“Customers should use the Fly Delta app for updates. We apologize for the inconvenience while our teams work on this issue,”

the airline said.

According to a report by BusinessDay, this could also affect other network operators.

This comes after Legit.ng reported that Delta Airlines announced plans for a major expansion that includes the reinstatement of daily flights from New York-JFK to Lagos, Nigeria, beginning December 1.

In addition, the airline is upgrading its fleet for flights to Accra, Ghana (ACC) and South Africa.

It is worth recalling that the airline had previously reported another round of strong earnings as it forecast a record second quarter due to continued strong travel appetite.

This came after the company’s profit more than doubled in the fourth quarter of last year thanks to strong travel demand, even as the company revised down its earnings expectations for 2024.
