1 dead, 1 woman injured after shooting in southeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Police are investigating a shooting in southeast Fresno that left one person dead and another injured.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers received a call from a gunshot report that two shots had been fired in the area between Woodward Avenue and Ninth Street, near Sequoia Middle School.

When officers arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds in a car.

One of the victims died at Community Regional Medical Center.

The other is being treated for her injuries, but no information has been given about her condition.

Police are still trying to determine what led to the shooting and are looking for possible surveillance video from the area.
