13-year-old raped in a moving car in Gwalior; obscene video sent to family members after she twice refused to meet

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A disturbing incident was reported from Gwalior in which a class 9 student was gang-raped in a moving car. The accused also filmed an obscene video of the minor and sent it to her family members, following which the police were informed and a complaint was filed against her.

Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have filed charges of rape, kidnapping and other crimes against the three accused. They have also started a search for the accused. Currently, all the accused have fled from their homes.

Friendship through Instagram

The incident took place in the Mohana police station area. According to reports, the 13-year-old victim befriended one of the three accused through Instagram. On the day of the incident, the accused called her to meet him, where he was waiting in a car along with two other friends.

As soon as the minor arrived, they took her into the car under the pretext of going for a drive. After she got in, they took her to the highway and raped them one by one.

The victim blackmailed through a video

During the incident, the accused also shot a video, started blackmailing the victim and called her for another meeting. When she denied it, they sent the video to her family members.

The family then took the student to the police station and filed a complaint. Based on the student’s statement, the police have initiated proceedings against the three accused.

Police search for fugitive defendant

According to Rashid Khan, in-charge of Mohana police station, “A student came to the police station with her family complaining that she was a victim of gang rape and had met the young man on Instagram. After they met, the young man arranged to meet another friend of his. After they became friends, the other young man came to meet her twice. Also, on the day of the incident, another young man came with the accused friend and took her in the car where all three youths committed the crime with her and made an obscene video of her. On the complaint of the student, a case was registered and the accused are wanted. They will be caught soon.”
