77-year-old Pawcatuck man charged with sexually abusing 13-year-old girl | News

Donald L. Siller, a Pawcatuck resident of 108 Brookside Lane, Apt. 6, was charged Tuesday with second-degree sexual assault and endangering a minor. The charges stem from an incident that occurred March 3, according to police. The victim had called 911 to report the assault after it occurred.

According to an arrest warrant, the victim told officers she met Siller at a bus stop in Pawcatuck and he invited her to his apartment for a glass of water. Once at the apartment, she told police she had been sexually assaulted.

Although the victim stated she did not know the man, the police report states that Siller claimed to know her father.

Siller denied touching or exposing himself, police said, but admitted to removing a blanket from the bed where the girl said the assault occurred. Further investigation led police to discover DNA evidence linking him to the assault, the warrant said.

Siller was arraigned in New London Superior Court on Wednesday and remanded in custody on $250,000 bail. His case was transferred to Division A, which handles more serious crimes, and he is due back in court on August 7.
