Taylor Swift stalker arrested at Germany show, also threatened Travis Kelce

German police arrested an American on Wednesday who is suspected of stalking Taylor Swift and threatening her and Travis Kelce on social media.

The man, whose identity is not yet known, wanted to attend Swift’s concert in Gelsenkirchen. He had a ticket for the show and was arrested at the entrance control of the venue on Wednesday before the concert.

He was arrested after initial investigations could not rule out that he posed a threat, police said.

AP reported that event organizers notified authorities about the suspected stalker’s troubling online behavior.

The man had attracted attention by making threats against Swift and her partner Travis Kelce, police said. They claimed that neither the singer Kelce (who attended the show) nor the concert-goers were in any danger at any time.

A court ordered the man to be detained until Saturday.

Wednesday’s show was one of three in Gelsenkirchen. It attracted 60,000 fans.

Swift will perform a total of seven shows in Germany over the next two weeks, including in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich. In August, she will conclude the European leg of the Eras Tour with five shows in London.
