Police say a teenager was shot dead in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville | Crime reports

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WDRB) — A young man was shot and killed in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville Thursday night.

John Bradley, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North 23rd Street shortly before 6 p.m., where a “person had been shot and struck down.”

Police found a male youth with numerous gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The LMPD homicide squad is investigating.
