Remarkable video shows woman surviving construction accident in Fort Lauderdale after heavy crane crushes her car

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A video shows a horrific construction accident in Florida in which a huge crane collapsed on a car.

Remarkably, the woman driving the car escaped the wreckage without serious injuries.

In the video, the huge blue chunk of metal lands on her car and crushes it. Incredibly, she opens the door and walks away.

In the bodycam video, a police officer can be heard approaching the woman and asking, “Ma’am, what hurts?”

She seems stunned and breathless, but answers almost astonished: “Absolutely nothing.”

At the time, authorities said it was the platform with the crane on a building under construction that collapsed onto the bridge over the New River.

A construction worker fell from the building and died.

The accident remains under investigation.
