Police search for missing 2-year-old girl in Canton, Illinois

A two-year-old girl who went missing in Canton early Thursday morning has been found.

Canton police posted on Facebook that Chloe Russell “was found alive and is receiving medical attention but is expected to be OK.”

The girl disappeared from her apartment in the 500 block of Custer Place in Canton around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning, police said.

The FBI, Illinois State Police, Fulton County Sheriff’s Department and Canton Fire Department assisted in the search.

The task force used drones, aircraft, sniffer dogs and personnel in an attempt to find the toddler, police said.
