Massachusetts State Police are conducting a car seat safety inspection in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts State Police troopers will be available in Springfield on Tuesday to help check your child’s car seat.

Officers will be conducting free walk-in car seat checks at Springfield Barracks on Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This program is funded by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security Child Safety Equipment Grant.


The dates of further car seat checks are as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 14th, Greenfield RMV18 Miner Street, Greenfield
  • Tuesday, May 21st, Cheshire Barracks1141 North State Road, Cheshire
  • Tuesday, May 28th Northampton Barracks555 North King Street, Northampton

If you cannot attend one of the events, schedule an appointment for car seat installation or inspection by calling the MSP Transportation Programs Department at 774-462-3766.
