Former teacher arrested for allegedly providing drugs and alcohol to students

GREENFIELD – A former teacher at Mt. Vernon and New Palestine schools has been arrested for allegedly giving drugs and alcohol to students.

Brock Wedgeworth, 45, was arrested Thursday morning by Greenfield Police and Fortville Police.

Wedgeworth is said to have repeatedly given drugs and alcohol to former students he met while working as a teacher at these schools.

“We take reports like this seriously and are committed to conducting thorough investigations to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our community,” Greenfield police said in a statement.

Wedgeworth was charged with four counts of enticement of a minor to commit crimes. All three are Level 6 felonies.
