21-year-old killed in accident near Jasper

WALKER COUNTY – A 21-year-old Parrish man died in a car crash near Jasper Thursday morning, according to ALEA Senior Police Officer Cody Farrar.

At around 4:50 a.m., Dylan C. Rodgers was fatally injured when the 2015 Ford Focus he was driving left the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Rodgers was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was thrown from the vehicle.

His death was pronounced at the scene.

The accident occurred on Alabama 269 near Old Parrish Road, about a mile south of Jasper.

No further information is available as the ALEA Highway Patrol Division’s investigation is ongoing.
