Man charged with aggressive driving in Garden Grove

A 43-year-old man is behind bars on Thursday for a traffic incident and hit-and-run in Garden Grove.

Dietrich Lee Arthur Hudson was charged Wednesday with seven counts of assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of hit-and-run causing damage to property. He pleaded not guilty and a preliminary hearing was set for July 25.

Hudson was accused of repeatedly driving into the back of another car during a road rage dispute at about 2:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Euclid St. and Garden Grove Blvd., police said. Seven people were in the other vehicle.

Hudson was also charged with another accident that occurred shortly before the alleged DUI incident, which involved a hit-and-run, police said. No one was injured in either crash.

Hudson’s place of residence was not given.
