Police identify victim of triple murder after apartment fire in Ahwatukee

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police have released the identities of three people who were found dead when firefighters responded to a fire at a residential building in Ahwatukee.

They were identified as follows:

  • Anthony Frederickson-Ceccarelli, 25
  • Merissa Honeycutt, 27
  • Samuel Lott, 37

According to police, the case is being investigated as a triple murder.

Phoenix firefighters responded to an apartment complex on 48th Street near Ray Road just before 7 a.m. Monday and found smoke coming from the entrance of a second-floor apartment. Inside the apartment, firefighters found three bodies in a back bedroom.

Police said all three showed “obvious signs” of trauma unrelated to the fire and homicide detectives responded. The case remains under investigation.
