Accident reported on I-70 eastbound west of Vandalia

Fayette County, Illinois – (Effingham Radio) – Illinois State Police are reporting an accident on I-70 eastbound near mile marker 50.

From Tri-Power Towing & Recovery’s Facebook page:

“We are assisting another tow truck west of Vandalia on 70 EASTbound. ISP is reporting traffic congestion at the 50 mile marker. If you know anyone coming from St. Louis, please pass this information on to them. There are reports of follow-on accidents due to the traffic congestion.”

Please avoid the area and look for alternative routes.
