Koklich appealed again in April 2024, claiming that a change in the law should result in a changed verdict, but it was denied (via KNX News).

In addition, Bruce Koklich has applied for parole four times and was denied – in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2023. According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, his final hearing was on June 13, 2024, and he was denied parole for the next five years. This means his next parole hearing is expected to be scheduled for June 2028. Hopefully Jana’s body will be found or Bruce will explain what actually happened and offer the family some closure and peace.
