Disturbing details emerge in the murder-suicide that left three young siblings dead

Georgia police released the identities of the three children and the suspect was found dead in a parked car Wednesday after a “possible murder-suicide.”

The children discovered in the vehicle were siblings: Arianny Rodriguez, 13; Chadal Rodriguez, 11; and 9-year-old Carlos Rodriguez, according to Gwinnett County police.

The suspect was identified as Jose Plasencia, 56, of Norcross, Georgia.

Plasencia and the children’s mother, Karina Rodriguez, previously dated and shared another child together. He was not the father of the children killed.

Hours before the murder-suicide, Plasencia met with the victims’ mother, her three children and their child at a local hospital, according to police. The child they share needs medical attention.

“After some time, the mother agreed to let the three children go with the suspect to get something to eat while she remained at the hospital,” Gwinnett County police said in a statement.

Shortly after 1 a.m., an officer found Plasencia and the three children dead in a car along the pedestrian walkway at Lucky Shoals Park in Tucker.

The officer shouted something to the people in the car but received no response. The officer went searching and discovered the four bodies inside.

Gwinnett County police are calling the incident a “possible murder-suicide.”

A GoFundMe was set up for the children by their mother. She is looking for help with funeral costs for her “little angels.” She would like to send the three children to the Dominican Republic and give them a “Christian burial.”

“I am devastated, my heart is in pieces,” she wrote. “My world was my children, and I was mother and father to them so that they never lacked for anything.”
