Man dead, woman seriously injured after collision in Madera County | YourCentralValley.com

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One pedestrian was killed and a second seriously injured in Madera County early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says they responded to a crash on Avenue 12 east of Street 25 around 3:45 a.m.


Investigators say a driver in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling about 55 miles per hour westbound on Avenue 12, just east of Road 25.

A man and a woman were walking in the middle of the road when they were hit by the Chevrolet.

According to the CHP, the driver of the Chevrolet was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The unidentified man died of his injuries. The woman suffered serious injuries.

This crash is still under investigation.
