SUV rams motorcycle, passenger on motorcycle dies in accident

ROCK HILL, SC — One person was killed in a head-on collision involving a motorcycle in York County on Wednesday, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. about two miles west of Rock Hill on Paraham Road. According to police, a 2004 Harley-Davidson was traveling on Paraham Road when a Honda SUV struck the motorcycle on Windy Run Lane. Two people on the motorcycle were taken to Piedmont Medical Center, where the passenger succumbed to his injuries.

The accident remains under investigation. It is unclear if charges will be filed. The South Carolina Highway Patrol has not released any further information at this time.
