Spokane Police Arrest Two Suspects in Robbery and Assault

Spokane, Washington – The Spokane Police Department (SPD) arrested two suspects yesterday for robbery and assault.

SPD said on July 16 around 4:30 p.m. the incident occurred near Indiana Avenue and Atlantic Street, where officers responded to a report of a robbery and found a victim with a head injury.

According to SPD, the victim had encountered Samantha Thexton, 29, and Tom Blake Jr., 24, during a drug-related interaction. During this encounter, the victim was struck multiple times in the head with an object that resembled a stick or pipe. The suspects then forced the victim to remove his clothing and took cash, a cellphone and clothing before leaving the scene.

After an investigation, SPD determined there was probable cause to arrest Thexton and Blake for first-degree robbery. Both suspects were taken to the Spokane County Jail; Blake’s bail was set at $50,000 and Thexton’s at $10,000. The victim suffered minor head injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
