3-year-old dead after being found in backyard pool in Chandler

CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — A child is dead after being found in a pool at a Chandler home Wednesday night.

According to police, officers were called to the home near Ray and McClintock roads around 7:30 p.m. because a three-year-old child had drowned.

The toddler was pulled from the house’s pool. It is unclear how long the child was underwater.

Rescue workers took the child to a children’s hospital, where he died.

Detectives are on site and are leading the ongoing investigation.
