James Michael Cline, founder of the movie ticket app Fandango, was identified on Wednesday as the man who died the previous day in a nearly 20-story fall from a Midtown Manhattan hotel.

The 64-year-old financial executive was killed by apparent suicide at the Kimberly Hotel on 50th Street in New York City on Tuesday morning, Variety reported.

Cline jumped from the 20th floor of the hotel and landed in a third-floor courtyard, police added.

Other law enforcement sources told TMZ he left a suicide note in his room that read: “I am so sorry. I can’t explain how much it hurts to have messed up like this. I love you all.”

Cline, who lived in Palm Beach, Florida, co-founded Fandango with Art Levitt in 2000 and partnered with seven major movie theater chains to create an online service that simplified ticket purchasing.

After leaving the company in 2011, he ran several technology companies and venture capital firms and founded other companies, including Accumen, Insureon and Accolade.

Additionally, he currently serves as Executive Chairman of the business incubator Juxtapose and Chairman of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

Cline attended Cornell University and later Harvard Business School. He leaves behind his wife Pamela and their six children.
