West Milford man allegedly smashed windshield of Wayne police patrol car

A West Milford man is accused of smashing the windshield of a police car in Wayne Township.

Evan Gonzalez, 27, was arrested on the Hamburg Turnpike.

Police said they received reports over the weekend of a man throwing rocks at parked cars near the Park Wayne Diner.

As police officers approached Gonzales, he allegedly threw a rock at the patrol car.

Gonzalez was held in the Passaic County Jail pending a detention hearing.
