Buffalo City Council Approves Temporary Fuel Distribution Agreement – Sheridan Media

The Buffalo City Council has approved a “limited emergency fuel distribution and use agreement” for emergency vehicles to use fuel from the Joint Powers Board’s fueling facility, if needed, during upcoming major events in the area in August, which could trigger a shortage of available fuel in Buffalo and other areas of northeastern Wyoming.

As Mayor Shane Schrader explained, during the Camporee, Sturgis Bike Rally and Johnson County Fair in the first part of August, there could be fuel shortages at local gas stations in the area.

City Attorney Dennis Kirven provided details of the agreement.

The agreement, which will not come into force until August, was approved by the council.
