Washington DC police said they are searching for a missing five-month-old baby who is believed to be with his father.

The baby, Rajah Leonard, was last seen around noon Wednesday in the 6000 block of 16th Street NW. Authorities believe the baby is with his father, 27-year-old Ramon Leonard.

Any custody arrangements or other circumstances surrounding the situation were not immediately clear, but police described the baby as “critically missing.”

Police set up a command post and searched a wooded area near 16th and Rittenhouse streets NW, near where the baby was last seen. Temperatures reached 100 degrees Wednesday afternoon.

Rajah Leonard is 26 inches long, weighs 16 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair, police said. He was last seen wearing white pajamas with a dinosaur print. Ramon Leonard was last seen wearing a white tank top and gray sweatpants, police said.
