State addresses police shootings and bodycam policies

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Alaska Department of Law officials will hold a press conference Wednesday to discuss the state’s “procedural steps” regarding police shootings.

Alaska Deputy Attorney General John Skidmore will speak about how the state reviews police-involved shootings and how it plans to release police officers’ bodycam footage after such incidents.

In a press release, Alaska Attorney General Treg Taylor said all pending police-involved shooting cases would also be discussed.
