Woman shot, man arrested after “domestic violence incident”

Tellis Fudge Jr., 23, turned himself in to the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday

BYRON, Georgia – A man was arrested following a domestic violence shooting in Byron, according to a Byron Police press release.

They say 23-year-old Tellis Fudge Jr. turned himself in to the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday in connection with the shooting that occurred Monday.

The press release states that Byron police found a woman with a gunshot wound to her hand at Martin Luther King Court in Byron on Monday.

The department said she was shot during a “domestic violence incident.”

Fudge is currently being held at the Peach County LEC on charges of aggravated assault and child abuse.
