EMSA: Medical heat alert may expire

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – EMSA officials announced Wednesday that the heat medical advisory issued on 7/13/2024 has been lifted due to falling temperatures.

According to EMSA, during the last heat medical alert, EMSA paramedics responded to ten (10) calls for heat-related illnesses and transported seven (7) patients to OKC area hospitals due to their symptoms.

“So far in 2024, EMSA paramedics in the Western Division have responded to 99 calls for heat-related illnesses and transported 69 patients to local hospitals.”
