Vermont man arrested after road rage incident in Chatham – Boston News, Weather, Sports

CHATHAM, MASS. (WHDH) – Chatham police arrested a Vermont man Tuesday following a reported incident of road rage.

Tracy Douse, 42, of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, faces several charges in connection with the incident on Route 28.

Shortly after 4 p.m., police received a report from a driver who said he and his family had been threatened by a man in a vehicle with a firearm, believed to be in a case of driving aggression. The victim provided police with a description of the person and the vehicle.

Shortly thereafter, Chatham Police spotted the vehicle in question.

“During a traffic check, the driver was arrested and a loaded Glock 19 pistol was confiscated from the vehicle,” police said in a statement.

Douse was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, illegal possession of ammunition and disorderly conduct.

Douse is expected to be arraigned in Orleans County Court.
