A man was killed overnight after a shooting in Muskogee, police said.

Muskogee police said officers were dispatched to the area of ​​the 2000 block of Denver around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and upon arrival found a man and a woman in a car with gunshot wounds.

Investigators said Reon D. Bell, 38, was taken to a hospital in Muskogee and later pronounced dead. The woman was taken to a hospital in Tulsa and is expected to recover. Police report her injuries were not life-threatening. Her name is not being released by law enforcement at this time.
