Denver police search for 14-year-old murder suspect

DENVER (KKTV) – Denver police are searching for an armed and dangerous homicide suspect – who is only 14 years old.

Suspect Steven “Esco” Marquez is accused of shooting a man who was trying to break up a disturbance at the corner of 29th and Larimer streets on July 10. The victim died of his injuries two days later.

A week later, the whereabouts of the suspected teenage shooter are unknown.

“Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for premeditated murder against Marquez, who calls himself Esco,” police said Tuesday. “… Marquez is considered armed and dangerous and should not be contacted by citizens.”

According to police, Marquez is 1.65 m tall and weighs 63.5 kg.
