Wynonna Judd’s Surprise Call From Buffalo Airport (LISTEN)

It was both a surprise and an absolute delight to receive a call from Wynonna Judd while waiting to board a flight at the Buffalo airport!

Wynonna was spotted in Western New York this past weekend and apparently spent a few days in Niagara County as well.

From what’s new in her career, to her performances in the national anthem and everything in between, Wynonna was generous with her time and made us laugh!

On Tuesday, Rob Banks and I were chatting on air about Wynonna being in Buffalo and her ties to the area. Wynonna has friends and family here and was visiting. Fast forward to 10am and we got a voicemail from Wynonna offering to chat! How could we pass that up? She left her phone number and we reached out to her as she waited for the call to board.

Wynonna has performed here in Western New York many times and some of the best shows were with her mother, Naomi Judd, when they brought us legendary shows at Melody Fair!

Thank you Wynonna for being so open and sharing her feelings and personal stories with us. This conversation reminded us once again that country artists are so down to earth, “reachable” and generous. I can’t wait to hear what Wynonna has in store for fans!!!
