Brandon Casey of “Jagged Edge” in intensive care after serious car accident

Brandon Casey of “Jagged Edge” announced on Instagram on Tuesday (July 16) that he was involved in a car accident last week and was admitted to the intensive care unit at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

The singer shared a photo of a hospital chart on his Instagram account and thanked the hospital for their care and saving his life. In the caption of the post, Casey revealed that he suffered a broken neck, broken ribs, a fractured skull and scalp injuries. It reads:

“I have to send a huge thank you to @grady.hospital after being in the ICU for 5 days. I know the legendary Grady Trauma Center is everything they say it is, the best in the country. You all saved my life and I am eternally grateful. I am so grateful to all you ladies who cared for me, nurtured me, fed me and encouraged me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, the most sincere thank you I can think of. I know people want to know so here it is: broken neck, 5 broken ribs, fractured skull, torn scalp and tons of pain all over my body but I’m OK, I promise you all God has me, it’s like something is trying to take me off this planet and God keeps telling them no not him, not yet… all praise goes to the most high, great, wonderful God. Thank you Lord!!!! From your faithful soldier.”

The singer was involved in his second accident within a year after being involved in a serious car crash in September 2023. Then Brandon shared a photo of a total loss with the caption:

“When you know God got you through this, you have to say thank you. You have to feel gratitude, not just speak it. Thank you, Father. I know without your grace and mercy I wouldn’t be here. I’ll probably never be the same again, but I’m so thankful I’m here. Thank you, Jesus!!!!”

Brandon and his twin brother Brian are the lead singers of Jagged Edge, which also includes Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman. They signed to Jermaine Drupi’s So So Def in 1995 and dominated the R&B charts in the early 2000s with classics such as “Promise,” “Where The Party At” and “Let’s Get Married.”

With the release of their latest album A jagged love storyIn 2020, the group released a new collaboration with Jack Freeman titled “Undress (Remix)” in June.
