Shooting in Chicago: Police report 2 women caught in crossfire in Bronzeville

CHICAGO (WLS) — Two women were injured in crossfire in the Bronzeville neighborhood on Wednesday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting occurred in the 2900 block of South Dearborn Street at approximately 12:39 a.m.

According to police, the women were standing outside when two suspects fired shots and fled on foot.

A 24-year-old woman was shot in the back and a 28-year-old was shot in the hand, police said. Both were taken to Insight Hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody and three detectives are investigating.
