Hanover College student arrested and charged with rape

A 22-year-old Clark County man is charged with rape after he assaulted a female student at Hanover College, according to police.Indiana State Police said 22-year-old Jack Kruer was arrested Tuesday and charged with rape.ISP says they were contacted in September 2023 about a sexual assault of a woman on the Hanover College campus.Police say Kruer, who also studies at Hanover, and a female student left a party on campus together last September.They say Kruer then sexually assaulted the woman in her dorm room. She then reported the assault to campus security, who then contacted ISP.An arrest warrant was issued for Kruer, leading to his arrest in Clark County on Tuesday.He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Indiana.

A 22-year-old Clark County man is charged with rape after police say he attacked a student at Hanover College.

Indiana State Police said 22-year-old Jack Kruer was arrested Tuesday and charged with rape.

The ISP stated that it was contacted in September 2023 regarding the sexual harassment of a woman on the Hanover College campus.

According to police, Kruer, who also studies in Hanover, and a student left a party on campus together last September.

They say Kruer then sexually assaulted the woman in her dorm room. She then reported the assault to campus security, who then contacted ISP.

A warrant was issued against Kruer, which led to his arrest in Clark County on Tuesday.

He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Indiana.
